Education Services Terms and Conditions
Please
review the following terms and conditions before continuing.
Medical
Reimbursement Specialists, Inc., producer of the Certified RN-Coder
and RN-Auditor Institutes "Institutes") will provide you with Education
Services only on the condition that you accept, and comply with the
terms and conditions in this agreement.
By
checking "I accept" at time of registration, you agree to be bound by
the following terms and conditions. If you do not agree to any of
the following terms and conditions, you may not participate in the Education
Services.
Please
read the following terms and conditions carefully. (Captions are provided
for convenience only, and should not be construed as part of this agreement.)
Terms
and Conditions
1.0
Registration Policy
1.1
You take full responsibility for any costs associated with your participation
in the Education Services, including tuition fees, travel expenses and
room and board expenses, all required materials, texts, or manuals.
1.2
For Public Workshops: 1.2 For Public Workshops: Payment in full is required
prior to the first day of instruction. Proof of payment is required
at the time of registration. All discounts must be applied at the time
of initial purchase -- no exceptions. After you have received the Links/Passwords,
DVDs, workbooks, materials, and/or "live" training, there are no refunds.
All materials received will be considered "consumed" by the Purchaser,
whether "opened" or "returned" or not.
1.3
For online learning classes: Payment is required at the time of registration
and cannot be refunded after you receive the passwords and or start
the online program.
2.0
Cancellation Policy
2.1
Public "LIVE" RN-Coder/RN-Auditor Institutes: Cancellation notices must
be received by Medical Reimbursement Specialists at least ten (10) working
days prior to the workshop start-date. If you cancel less than ten (10)
working days prior to the start of the Institute, you are liable for
and may be billed for the full cost of the class. However, if you have
already received your copyrighted materials (see 1.2), you are not entitled
to receive a refund.
2.2
Medical Reimbursement Specialists reserves the right to cancel any Public
Workshop without any prior notice, and for any reason. Please keep this
cancellation policy in mind if you are considering non-refundable airline
tickets. Medical Reimbursement Specialists will not be responsible for
travel, lodging, or any other expenses you may incur.
3.0
Confirmation Policy
3.1
A confirmation notice will be emailed to you upon receipt of your registration
and payment information. Please bring a copy of your confirmation letter
with you to class. It is your responsibility to make sure you have submitted
payment prior to the class start-date, and that you have received a
confirmation letter from Medical Reimbursement Specialists prior to
arriving at a Medical Reimbursement Specialists education/training Institute.
3.2
Online Learning Classes: You will receive two (2) confirmation emails:
(a) An acknowledgement to let you know your registration has been received
and is being processed. (b) A confirmation that your registration has
been approved and payment confirmed. This email will include the workshop
URL with login and password details.
4.0
Payment Policy
4.1
You may pay under a purchase order, by electronic check, by credit/debit
card (ANY card with the VISA/MasterCard logo.
4.2
Purchase Order: Medical Reimbursement Specialists does NOT accept Purchase
Orders in Advance. ALL courses must be paid in full at the time of registration.
4.3
Electronic Checks: Please call our office at 909-579-0507 and speak
to a Registration Specialist, who will take your business or personal
check electronically. Checks will be payable to Medical Reimbursement
Specialists, Inc.
4.4
Credit Card: Medical Reimbursement Specialists accepts VISA, Master
Card, and Discover. Credit/debit cards will be charged at the time of
registration. All transactions processed by Medical Reimbursement Specialists
are subject to a credit/debit card processing fee.
5.0
OTHER TERMS
5.1
You agree to use reasonable care to prevent any unauthorized use, disclosure,
publication, or dissemination of Medical Reimbursement Specialists Confidential
Information to any third party, but in no event shall you use less than
the same degree of care that you use to protect your own confidential
and proprietary information of similar importance. You will not use
Medical Reimbursement Specialists Confidential Information for purposes
other than those necessary to directly further the purposes of the education
Services. You will not disclose to third parties Medical Reimbursement
Specialists Confidential Information without the prior written consent
of Medical Reimbursement Specialists.
5.2
For the purpose of this agreement, Medical Reimbursement Specialists
Confidential Information means (i) any Medical Reimbursement Specialists
education, publication, or software product, in object and source code
form, and any related technology, idea, algorithm, or information combined
therein, and any trade secrets related to any of the foregoing; (ii)
Medical Reimbursement Specialists product plans, costs, prices and names;
non-published financial information; marketing plans; business opportunities;
personnel; research; development or know-how;(iii) any information designated
by Medical Reimbursement Specialists as confidential in writing or,
if disclosed orally, designated as confidential in writing within (30)
days; provided, however that "Medical Reimbursement Specialists Confidential
Information" will not include information that; (a) is or becomes generally
known or available by publication commercial use or otherwise through
no fault of yours; (b) is known and has been reduced to tangible form
by you at the time of disclosure and is not subject to restriction;
(c) you independently developed Medical Reimbursement Specialists Confidential
Information; (d) you lawfully obtained from a third party who has the
right to make such disclosure; and (e) is released for publication by
Medical Reimbursement Specialists in writing.
5.3
All content included in the Certified RN-Coder and Certified RN-Auditor
Institutes is provided by Medical Reimbursement Specialists. Because
of the possibility of human or mechanical error by Medical Reimbursement
Specialists, Medical Reimbursement Specialists' sources, or others,
neither Medical Reimbursement Specialists nor any of its suppliers (including
but not limited to RN-Coder/RN-Auditor Education Services Inc.) guarantees
the accuracy, adequacy or completeness of any information and neither
is responsible for any errors or omissions or for the results obtained
from the use of such information. THERE ARE NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES,
INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS
FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. In no event shall Medical Reimbursement Specialists
or its suppliers be liable for any indirect, special or consequential
damages in connection with your use or others' use of the information
provided in the Web-Based Learning Course(s).
5.4
You agree that neither RN-Coder/RN-Auditor Education Services, Inc.,
Medical Reimbursement Specialists, nor any provider of information distributed
through the Institutes, shall have liability for any of the following:
(i) the accuracy of the information furnished through the Web-Based
Learning Course(s); (ii) delays or omissions therein, nor for any lost
profits, indirect, special or consequential damages.
5.5
The laws of California shall govern this agreement. These terms and
conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties with
respect to the Education Services, and supercede all prior agreements
or representations, oral or written, regarding Education Services. If
you contest any part of this Agreement after signing it and receiving
our copyrighted materials, you agree to pay ALL attorney fees in the
State of California.
5.6
You agree that any concerns, issues, or complaints shall be brought
in writing to Medical Reimbursement Specialists, Inc. and not to other
outside parties. Please fax to: 1-909-579-0508. I understand and agree
to the above Terms and Conditions of purchasing, using, and otherwise
consuming the Intellectual Property of Joyce L. Thomas, MHA, owner of
all curriculum of the Certified RN-Coder and Certified RN-Auditor Institutes.
I, the registrant, give permission for Medical Reimbursement Specialists
to bill my credit/debit card, and I understand that once I received
my Web-Cast Link/password and my RN-Coder Institute coding copyrighted
materials, there are no refunds for any reason.
