Natividad Medical Center is seeking a full-time permanent Hospital Nurse Auditor in the Patient Accounting Department. Under direction, the Nurse Auditor will perform specialized administrative duties pertaining to hospital billing and reimbursement activities, utilizing a knowledge of both nursing and administrative practices; audit the charges on medical bills; perform managed care defense audits and under/over charge audits; review charge-related patient grievances; review denied charges, recommend appeals and/or facilitate the resolution of root causes where appropriate; communicate audit findings to various parties and work closely with a variety of external parties or individuals to resolve disputes; and perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications include CA RN licensure, an Associate’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred), and 5 years of clinical experience as an RN, including at least 2 years performing utilization review, charge audit, case management or similar functions in an acute care hospital.
